Delete your account & data

This page explains how to delete your Uzun Qulaq account (operated by Tethreon News Ltd) and the data associated with it, what is removed, and what is retained.
You can use Uzun Qulaq as a guest, without an account. An account exists only if you chose to sign in with Google.
How to request deletion
Email us and we'll delete your account and associated data:
- Send the email from the Google account email you signed in with (so we can verify it's you), with the subject "Delete my account".
- We confirm receipt and verify the request.
- We delete your account and associated data and email you when it's done — within 30 days.
In the app
Signing out also unlinks your data on the device: open the You tab → Sign out. This clears your account from the device and starts a fresh anonymous reader, so your previous personalisation is no longer linked to you. For full deletion of server-side data, use the email request above.
What is deleted
- Your account identifiers — the Google email and display name you signed in with.
- Your reading history, saved articles, and the personalisation profile tied to your account.
- The engagement events linked to your reader account.
What is retained
